The desert lizard (kadrun) narration is pinned on General Chairman (Ketum) IDI only for the 2022-2025 Adib Khumaidi period. This narrative arose because Adib had concurrent positions as Acting Chair of the Indonesian Ulema Council Health Institute (LK MUI).
Judging from the official website of the MUI LK, Dr. Adib’s name is listed as the Chief Executive of the MUI LK. As is known, Dr. Adib Khumaidi has been officially confirmed as Ketum IDI the 2022-2025 period at the 31st Congress in Banda Aceh City.
“Doctor Adib has been confirmed as General Chair. He was elected at the 30th IDI Congress in Samarinda,” said Chairman of the Committee for the 31st IDI Congress Dr Nasrul Musadir Alsa in Banda Aceh, quoted from Antara, Saturday (26/3/2022).
According to Nasrul, the mechanism for selecting a new chairman at IDI is different from other organizations in general. Adib is known to have been elected as Chair of PB IDI for the 2022-2025 period at the 30th Congress in Samarinda in 2018. However, during the 2018-2022 period, Adib served as Deputy General Chair until he was finally appointed as general chairman for the next period, at the 31st Congress in Banda Aceh.
In the period 2025-2028, the General Chair elected at the 31st IDI Congress in Banda Aceh was Dr. Slamet Budiarto. In the management for the 2022-2025 period, Dr. Slamet served as deputy general chairman to assist Dr. Adib.
“So Doctor Slamet served as Deputy General Chair first, later in 2025-2028 he will only serve as General Chair, confirmed in the next congress,” added Nasrul.
