Juventus will host Napoli at the Allianz Stadium, Wednesday (7/4/2021) evening WIB in the continuation Italian League.
This match was the party postponed the third week of Seria A which was suspended due to Covid-19.
Duel Juventus vs Napoli reportedly will be at stake for the fate of the Bianconeri coach, Andrea Pirlo.
If Juventus gets a minor result in the match against Napoli, Pirlo is getting ready to step down from the coaching chair.
It is said that Massimiliano Allegri will return to Juventus if Pirlo is really kicked out by the Big Lady’s management.
The issue of Pirlo’s dismissal actually stems from the elimination of Juventus from the Champions League this season.
Juventus were tackled by FC Porto in the last 16. They lost the productivity of away goals from Porto 4-4 on aggregate.
Then, in the Italian League, Juventus may not be able to achieve either scudetto 10 times in a row if you look at their position in the standings.
Currently, Juventus is only in fourth position with a collection of 56 points from 28 matches.
Juventus are 12 points adrift of the leaders of the standings, Inter Milan, who have collected 68 points from 28 matches.
Change is indeed needed by Juventus. Andrea Pirlo’s dismissal could be one of the steps.
However, the decision to fire Pirlo is not considered a wise solution according to former Juventus defender Fabio Cannavaro.
According to Cannavaro, Juventus should give Pirlo time as a consequence of the appointment of the former AC Milan midfielder to become Allenatore. Cristiano Ronaldo et al in 2020.
“Calm down. When Juve chose Andrea, they knew very well that he had no experience,” said Cannavaro, as quoted from Football Italia.
“It makes sense that he should have time to mature, even for his relationship with the team. There are still 30 points to fight for and has the right to leave this assessment delayed,” he added.
“After all, if Juve are not sure of his position, then what did they choose for him to do last summer?” said Cannavaro.
In fact, Cannavaro thinks that Juventus will make two mistakes at once if they actually fire Pirlo.
“They will be twice wrong if they take the decision to fire Andrea now,” he said.
“And the mistakes are not just him if the players make mistakes on and off the pitch,” added Cannavaro.
Fabio Cannavaro is not the first person to advise Juventus not to rush Pirlo off.
Previously, Christian Vieri and Claudio Marchisio had said the same thing.
