Juventus Failed to Beat City Rivals, Dybala Injured

Turin

Juventus damn right. Not only failed to beat the city rivals, Torinothe Bianconeri also lost Paulo Dybala the injured.

Juventus hosted Torino at the Allianz Stadium, Saturday (19/2/2022) early morning WIB, in the 26th week of the Italian League continued. Juventus seemed to be winning easily when they took the lead in the 13th minute through Matthijs de Ligt.

But, after that Juventus even had difficulty adding goals despite controlling the game. In the second half, Juventus finally conceded also in the 62nd minute after Andrea Belotti scored Torino’s goal.

The 1-1 score lasted until the end of the match and this prevented Juventus from running alone in the top four, avoiding the pursuit of Atalanta and the teams below.

Another bad news for Juventus from this match was that they had to lose Paulo Dybala who picked up a thigh injury in the second half, and was replaced by Winston McKennie in the 54th minute.

“Dybala shouldn’t be seriously injured,” said the Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri to DAZN.

Apart from Dybala, there were also two Juventus players injured at the same time. Daniele Rugani, who was initially the starter, was injured during the match and was replaced by Luca Pellegrini.

Pellegrini even only lasted 45 minutes and was replaced in the second half due to a similar problem. It is not known whether Paulo Dybala can play when Juventus visit Villarreal in the first leg of the Champions League last 16 this weekend.

“Rugani also has the same problem as Dybala, in his thigh muscle, while Pellegri has a knock. We still have a lot of players to face Villarreal, Danilo will play for the match in Spain.

“Bonucci will also be monitored for his condition, like other players. The season is still long. I don’t want to take the risk by lowering him for 30 minutes, then the player can be out for another month,” concluded Allegri about the condition of Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini.
