MONTREAL – Scuderia Ferrari Team Head, Mattia Binotto, sure Carlos Sainz Jr. will soon win the race in F1 2022. Because, Sainz appeared quite consistent so far.
Most recently, Sainz finished second in the 2022 Canadian GP F1 race. In the race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Montreal, Monday 20 June 2022, early morning WIB, Sainz only lost to Max Verstappen (Red Bull Racing) who came out as the winner.
The second podium in Canada at the same time paid for Sainz’s failure in Azerbaijan. As is known, he failed to finish at the Baku Circuit, Sunday, June 12, 2022.
Now, Sainz is in fifth position in the standings with 102 points. The Spaniard is 73 points behind Verstappen in first position.
“Sainz is driving better than at the start of the season and will soon have his first win,” said Binotto Planetf1Wednesday (22/6/2022).
Binotto said if there were no mistakes, Sainz could have won in Canada. He also considered that the 26-year-old racer put pressure on Verstappen throughout the race.
“Without the slightest mistake, maybe he will succeed. But he’s good at keeping pace and attacking until the last lap.”
Meanwhile, the next race is the 2022 British GP F1. The race will take place at the Silverstone Circuit, Silverstone, Sunday 2 July 2022, at 21.00 WIB.
