As part of the 28th day of Serie A, Juventus welcomed Lecce at the Allianz Stadium. Victorious (2-0) in Bologna last Monday, the men of Maurizio Sarri could take off at the head of the championship if successful tonight. Eighteenth in the standings after the slap received at home against AC Milan (1-4), Lecce was aiming for a feat to get out of the red zone. For this match, Maurizio Sarri aligned a 4-3-3 with his two Frenchmen Adrien Rabiot and Blaise Matuidi (in an unusual left-back position). A meeting that took a bad turn for Lecce after 32 minutes of play, with the expulsion of Lucioni. And, shortly after returning from the locker room, the sentence fell.

Paulo Dybala first, well served behind by Cristiano Ronaldo, wound a striking strike from the left of the entrance to the area which ended his race in the left window of Gabriel (1-0, 53rd). Then, Ronaldo, passer on the first goal, turned into a scorer ten minutes later by transforming a penalty he had himself caused by ahead of Luca Rossettini (2-0, 61st). Returning to the 77th minute of play, in place of Joya, Gonzalo Higuain sank Lecce by converting an offering of Ronaldo, again (3-0, 84th). Before De Ligt added his name to the bulletin board, passing Rossettini decidedly in a very bad evening (4-0, 86th). Thanks to her 22nd success of the season, the Old Lady was now seven steps ahead of Lazio in the standings.
