People shouldn’t think he is ungrateful because he is happy with the recognition and appreciation, Justin wrote on Instagram on Tuesday after the announcement of the nominees for the Grammy Awards. But the singer makes conscious choices when it comes to the music he makes. “My plan was to make an R&B album. ‘Changes’ was and is an R&B album. ”

26-year-old Justin grew up with the genre and wanted to show that sound on his record released in February. He thinks it is strange that the album is seen as pop by the Grammy Awards. “If you look at the chords, melodies, the vocals and even the hip-hop drums that have been chosen, it is undoubtedly an R&B album!”

Love pop music
Justin doesn’t hate pop music. “To be clear: I absolutely love pop music, but I didn’t intend to make it this time.”

Whether the singer won the statues for Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Duo / Group Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album will be revealed during the Grammy Awards on January 31. There is only one Grammy on his mantelpiece; for Best Dance Recording. Justin won it in 2016 together with Jack Ü for the song ‘Where Are Ü Now’.
