Just like Nikkie de Jager: the magic of make-up, look and compare! | WOMAN magazine

STEP 1 EPILATING EYEBROWS

Mettina: “Epilate only under the eyebrow and not too much! Touch them up with a pencil; draw line by line hairs. Blend this with a brush for a natural result.”

STEP 2 CONCEALER

“The area under the eyes catches a lot of shadow, causing circles to appear. A concealer brightens these dark spots.”

STAP 3 FOUNDATION

“You rarely see perfectly even skin, almost everyone has (pigment) spots, pimples, scars … Work them away with a good foundation.”

STEP 4 SHADING

“Play with shadow. A dark color just below the cheekbones makes a face appear narrower. Darken a double chin and the jawline appears more prominent.”

STEP 5 EYESHADOW

“First I apply a primer, then the eyeshadow. Purple for Bertine to enhance the green in her eyes, Tanja rust brown to make her blue eyes stand out.”

STEP 6 EYELINER

“This is a sultry expression. Provided it’s a nice line, so practice for that tight hand.”

STEP 7 MASCARA

“For full lashes, run the brush from the root in an upward, zigzagging motion toward the tips, especially on the outside.”

Also listen to the WOMAN podcast ‘That’s How She Does It‘ about the appearance with Patty Brard and Leco van Zadelhoff:

STEP 8 EXTRA EYELASHES

“I use the largest false eyelashes. This makes the eye visually much larger.”

STEP 9 LIPLINER

“A line just outside the lips makes them bigger. An additional advantage: the lip liner stops lipstick from spreading.”

STEP 10 LIPSTICK

“For small lips, choose a light color. And: what makes you lighter comes forward; what you color darker fades into the background.”
