Just Launched a Day, Daihatsu Ayla Twins Have Ordered 20,100 Units

The latest generation of Daihatsu Ayla’s twin in Malaysia, Perodua Axia, has been officially launched, Tuesday (14/2/2023). Just a day after its launch, Axia 2023 is selling well on the market, with SPK (Vehicle Order Letter) figures of more than 20 thousand units.

Quoted from Paultan, even though the latest Axia was just launched yesterday, the faucet for ordering this car has actually been open since January 31. Until now, the total number of confirmed car orders is 20,100 units. From the SPK figures, it turns out that many Axia consumers have converted from the old model to the new model.

So previously it was recorded that there were 44,000 orders received for the first generation Axia. Then around 13,600 orders replaced their orders with the new Axia 2023 model. This figure was then accumulated with the new SPK number of around 6,500 SPK, so now there are 20,100 Axia 2023 orders.

For information, Perodua targets Axia 2023 sales of 5,700 units per month. Meanwhile, the production capacity of this car is 82,000 units per year. Axia 2023 is an A-segment hatchback car.

The Axia 2023 is equipped with safety packages such as ABS brakes with EBD and BA, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Traction Control (TRC), as well as Solar & Security Window Film. The top variant will have six airbags. There are two airbags at the front, side airbags and curtain airbags.

This car will also receive Perodua Smart Drive Assist (PDSA), consisting of several packages of active safety features, such as Pre-collision Warning, Pre-collision Braking, Front Departure Alert and Pedal Misoperation Control.

Regarding variants and prices, Axia 2023 comes in four variants, namely G, X, SE and AV. G is sold from RM 38,600 (Rp. 134.6 million), X RM 40,000 (Rp. 139.5 million), SE sells for RM 44,000 (Rp. 153.5 million), and the highest AV variant sells for RM 49,500 or the equivalent of Rp. 172.6 million .
