Joseph Bouasse, former player of Roma, dies of cardiac arrest at age 21

The Cameroonian footballer and former member of the Italian club AS Roma, Joseph Bouasse, died Monday as a result of cardiac arrest at the age of 21, the Roman team confirmed in a statement.

“The news of Joseph’s premature departure saddens us greatly,” said technical director Alberto De Rossi. Bouasse started training on the Roma youth team in 2016 and made his Serie B debut in Italian soccer. “He had an explosive physique, but he was not only focused on strength, he was also a very technical player,” De Rossi recalled.
