Jorginho has enjoyed a superb couple of years for club and country, starring in Chelsea’s Champions League victory and Italy’s European Championship triumph in 2021, and his performances earned him a Ballon d’Or nomination.
However, there has been much speculation that he could leave the club in this transfer window, with a return to Italy for the midfielder being discussed, meaning Thomas Tuchel would need an immediate replacement.
Juventus would be the most likely destination for the player if he wanted to leave the club, but despite all the rumours, the midfielder’s agent, Joao Santos, says the intention is to negotiate a new deal with Chelsea.
“Chelsea is the priority,” Santos told Tuttomercatoweb.
His contract will expire in 2023, I think we will talk about the renewal from September.

Look, Jorginho is a world-class midfielder who does a decent job in midfield for Tuchel, but now he’s getting a little better and the fear is he’s starting to wane.
Many will be happy to see him stay at the club, but that doesn’t mean Tuchel won’t be keen to spend money and sign a midfielder who can do a better job than the Italian.
Like we said, it does a decent job of chelsea – but he is not a player to be missed when he is injured or rested.

Chelsea came out and announced that highly rated stopper Nathan Baxter has again completed another transfer move.
Baxter is one of the most highly rated young players at Stamford Bridge but he does not yet have a direct path to the first team, the club decided to send him back on loan to help with his development.

At times last season Baxter was very impressive before he was injured and this is a very smart move by Chelsea to let him out on loan again for another season.
The man is ready to challenge and try to be number one somewhere, and sitting in the reserves or on the bench at Stamford Bridge won’t do him any good in the long run.
chelsea He will now be keeping a very close eye on his performances and if he is ready to make an impact after his loan ends, we are sure he will have more opportunities.
However, could this also be a great opportunity for Baxter to show his ability and perhaps walk away from the club more permanently?
