Bek Indonesian National team Jordi Amat became the focus of netizens after making blunders in two matches 2026 World Cup Qualification.

Indonesia was only able to achieve a 1-1 draw against the Philippines in the second match of Group F 2026 World Cup Qualification at the Rizal Memorial Stadium, Manila, Tuesday (21/11).

Indonesia conceded first in the first half through a goal scored by Patrick Reichelt. Saddil Ramdani’s goal in the second half saved Indonesia from defeat at the Philippines headquarters.

The Philippines’ goal came from a blunder by Jordi Amat. The Johor Darul Tazim player lost the ball in the middle of the field while building an attack.

This mistake allowed the Philippines to launch a quick counterattack when Indonesia’s defense was not really ready. Reichelt’s goal was inevitable.

This is not the first blunder made by Jordi Amat. Previously, the naturalized player also scored an own goal in the first match against Iraq.

Jordi actually intended to throw the ball from the Iraqi player’s cross. However, his header went straight into his own goal.

Two blunders made by Jordi Amat inevitably became the focus of netizens. The JDT defender is considered to be playing below his proper level.

One of Jordi Amat’s posts on Instagram after the press conference ahead of the fight against Iraq was raided by netizens. Until now the comments column is flooded with netizens.

“Mat, aren’t you tired of making blunders all the time?” wrote one netizen.

“It must be fair. Local players are bullied, naturalized players must also be criticized. Asnawi [Mangkualam], [Marc] Clock, Witan [Sulaeman]One [Maulana Vikri], it has been teased by netizens. Are you still going to make a blunder? “It’s hilarious,” said another netizen.

Two bad results in Group F of the 2026 World Cup Qualification were the factors that triggered netizens’ annoyance. Indonesia is now slumped at the bottom of the standings after losing 1-5 to Iraq and drawing 1-1 against the Philippines.

Next, Shin Tae Yong’s squad will face Vietnam on the third matchday in Indonesia on March 21 2024. Five days later, it was Indonesia’s turn to visit Vietnam’s headquarters.
