Jokowi Cancels JKP Launch Today

Launch of Job Loss Guarantee program (PUC) operated by BPJS of Employment canceled today, Tuesday (22/2). Previously, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is scheduled to launch JKP.

“The launching event for the benefits of the JKP program, which was originally scheduled to be held today, has been postponed until a time to be determined later,” said Pps Deputy Director for Public Relations and Inter-Agency BPJS Employment Dian Agung Senoaji to CNNIndonesia.comTuesday (22/2).

Although the inauguration by the Head of State was canceled, the JKP program has started running and has provided benefits to participants.

“According to PP 37 of 2021, the benefits of the JKP program can be submitted since February 1, 2022 for participants who have been laid off and have a contribution period of at least 12 months in the last 24 months before the layoff occurs, where 6 months are paid consecutively,” he explained.

He added that his party had paid the benefits of the JKP program in cash to a number of participants who met the requirements.

Separately, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Manpower, Anwar Sanusi, stated that the cancellation was due to technical problems.

“Yes (cancelled), due to technical problems the plan to launch the JKP benefits has been postponed, we will inform you later,” he said.
