President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) with First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo spent the night in the Central Government Area (KIPP) Archipelago IKN after conducting a review of a number of points in the IKN. The ministers and heads of the IKN authorities also accompanied.
“The president and Mrs. Iriana together with the ministers and head of the IKN authority spent the night at the IKN KIPP,” Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media Secretariat of the President Bey Machmudin told reporters, Thursday (23/2/2023).
Jokowi, Iriana and the ministers ate fried rice to godok noodles. The food was made by the palace cook.
“The president and Mrs. Iriana and the ministers had dinner with fried rice, fried noodles and godok noodles which were cooked directly by the Palace chef Claudio Iglesias,” said Bey.
There are at least three points visited by Jokowi during his visit to IKN today. Jokowi inspected the Mentawir Nursery, the location of the KIPP IKN ministerial office, and the workers’ residential area.
In his statement, Jokowi ensured that the construction of the Archipelago IKN had started. He hopes that some of the infrastructure will be completed by 2024.
“There are no problems anymore, so bismillah this has started, once again we hope it will be finished by June. I just want to convey an optimism that the construction of the capital city of the archipelago has started, both infrastructure in the form of an office and this is the minister’s house,” Jokowi said.
According to Jokowi, there is no need to doubt anything about IKN. Development in the field has been carried out.
“So if anyone is still unsure, the field has moved like this. Because this is not a 2-year or 5-year project, it could be 10 or 15 years, just like in other countries, those who move also start and finish it approximately Think about the timeframe as before,” he added.
