President of the United States (USA) Joe Biden came back positive COVID-19 for the second time. Joe Biden back into isolation, White House doctors said on Saturday.
Reported by AFP Sunday (31/7/2022), Biden tested positive after being tested on Saturday night. Previously, Biden had tested negative or recovered from COVID since 4 days ago.
“Tested positive Saturday evening, with antigen testing, after four consecutive days of negative testing, and will resume strict isolation procedures,” presidential physician Kevin O’Connor wrote in a memorandum.

“This actually indicates ‘bounced’ positivity,” O’Connor said, referring to a situation where patients treated with the drug Paxlovid – such as Biden – cleared the virus but tested positive after completing their course.
“The president has had no reoccurring symptoms and continues to feel quite well. Therefore, there is no reason to restart treatment at this time,” he added.
In a tweet, Biden appeared to be trying to believe he was fine. Biden made sure he would keep working.
“Guys, today I tested positive for COVID again. This happens to a small percentage of people,” he wrote.
“I have no symptoms but I will be self-isolating for the safety of everyone around me. I am still working, and will be back on the road soon,” Biden continued.
Biden canceled planned trips to Delaware and Michigan, the White House said.
