Job- en rekruteringsplatform WannaWork van Sihame El Kaouaki…

The company court in Antwerp on Thursday declared bankruptcy over WannaWork, the job and recruitment platform founded by Sihame El Kaouakibi. The judge confirms this.

At the beginning of June, the bankruptcy trustee of Point Urbain, the now bankrupt company that operates the JJ House event location and of which the Flemish MP Sihame El Kaouakibi was co-owner, had filed two summons against WannaWork: one for clearing the current account and one in bankruptcy.

The court already ruled in favor of the bankruptcy trustee on 17 June on the first summons. WannaWork was ordered to pay 510,000 euros, a large part of which was a sum raised by Point Urbain to set up WannaWork. The court ruled that the money could be used to settle Point Urbain’s debts.

The bankruptcy ruling was originally scheduled for June 24, but the company’s lawyers were given a reprieve. It went bankrupt on Thursday.
