When Tomáš Magnusek put together a screenplay for the film “Old age is not for sraby”, he had no idea what he would experience during filming.
Not only did he personally meet one of the biggest Formula 1 stars, Emerson Fittipaldi, who played himself in his film, but he also Jiří Krampol, which he cast in the lead role, hacked the Ferrari for seven and a half million crowns.
“Jirka Krampol broke in. The co-producer of the film brought his ferrari for seven and a half million, Jirka was driving around those rubber barriers and the car was suddenly black. The owner looked at it and said it hit him. There was supposed to be a picture of Luděk Sobota in the film and Krampol crossing his legs. And the co-producer told me he wouldn’t let him in the car. ” Magnusek laughs backwards.
However, he admits that he was not relieved until he found out that the million-dollar car would be polished.
“It simply came to our notice then. But we were insured, “ added Magnusek.
But Krampol sees it differently. According to him, the mistake was on the side of the car and a small space.
“It was a track for motorcycles and we were there with a car. Ferrari is a great car, it’s just like a fairground toy. Accelerator, brake. One has to react first, because it is a fast car. Otherwise, of course, I also have a driver’s license for a bus and an excavator, but I don’t drive, because a driver drives me everywhere, “ added Krampol, who, according to Tomáš Magnusek, also enjoyed shooting the film. He must have felt like he was on vacation.
“He didn’t break anything else. But he flew a helicopter, drove cars, rode a boat, was in Pupp. They enjoyed it with the other actors. It was two months of vacation for him, “ described Magnusek, whom we asked if, given Krampol’s age, he was not worried about his health.
“I told him he could not die until August 1st. And now seriously. Are you scared. The age category is as it is. But they are amazing. They are actors, they know what you want from them, and they will do it. ” added Magnusek.
