Jetblue will announce very soon that it is expanding its operations in Europe, but has not yet defined the destinations.
The airline currently has five narrow-body Airbus A321LR (long-haul) aircraft with another six scheduled for delivery by the end of next year. “Those new aircraft will be used to support more transatlantic routes,” said Robin Hayes, CEO of the company, during Jetblue’s third-quarter earnings call.
JetBlue currently flies from New York JFK and Boston to London Heathrow and London Gatwick, with the majority of these flights operated on the A321LR. The airline will eventually operate 26 A321LRs and the long-haul A321XLR.
“We see an opportunity from New York and Boston to fly to various European markets and we are confidently moving forward on these plans,” he said.
as revealed REPORTUR.us, Jetblue will increase its Ecuador flights to the cities of Guayaquil and Quito from Fort Lauderdale, starting November 1. The two routes will offer five weekly frequencies (Miami: Jetblue increases flights to Ecuador from Fort Lauderdale).
