The government needs to pay more attention to vulnerable people affected by the measures taken against the corona virus and not directly by the virus itself. That said President of the Council of Health and Society Jet Bussemaker (PvdA) in the state television program subsidized by taxpayers Buitenhof (NPO). She is referring, among other things, to lonely elderly people in care homes and people with a disability who are no longer able to use their daytime activities.
“The government should look more at other factors such as quality of life and dignity to say goodbye,” said Bussemaker in the subsidized state television program of the NPO. “It is better to weigh up what is important. In the first phase, that is speed and the virus contained, but we are now in the second phase and more things need to be looked at. There are more values than just the virus. ”
Bussemaker says in the subsidized state television program of the NPO that action must always be taken to prevent contamination, but that this cannot be the only factor. “Now only the RIVM Outbreak Management Team (OMT) is looked at for advice.
