Asymptomatic COVID-19: how to understand that you are infected

An infectious disease doctor, Ph.D. Ilya Akinfiev talked about how one can recognize the so-called asymptomatic course of coronavirus infection, reports PRIMPRESS.

According to the expert, in this situation there can be two options. In the first case, a person can “feel great”, but at the same time be a virus excretory. That is, there are no symptoms, but the virus is released from a person into the environment.

In the second case, mild symptoms are still present, although this form is called “asymptomatic.” This may be a slight ache in the body, fatigue, a feeling that you are getting sick. Although the temperature does not rise and there is no shortness of breath.

“This is the most frequent option. Usually coronavirus is so manifested in children under 14 years of age. But after 14 years, everyone gets sick approximately the same way, ”the doctor said.

However, according to the expert, the danger lies in the fact that a person all the same with this releases a virus that is dangerous to others. And any mild course can become complicated at almost any moment, if the disease is carried on the legs. That is why when even mild symptoms appear, it is recommended to call a doctor at home.
