Jens Cajuste near the Premier League – the clubs agree on a huge sum

——

Strongly Swedish-Danish-inspired Brentford is about to get another Scandinavian star connection.

According to Sportbladet’s experience, the Premier League newcomer and FC Midtjylland have agreed on a transfer fee for the blue and yellow national team player Jens Cajuste, 21.

To Jens Cajuste is about to leave the Danish big team FC Midtjylland has been a serial during the summer.

Two days ago, Midtjylland nobbed a third bid (!) From French Rennes on the national team Swede.

According to Sportbladet’s information, the bid was close to SEK 120 million. According to French media reports, Cajuste is said to agree with Rennes on the personal parts of a lucrative contract.

Nobbed bids of 120 million

But Rennes and Midtjylland do not seem to agree on the price tag on the defensive midfielder who has made a rocket career in recent years after the move from Örgryte 2018.

Instead, Sportbladet experiences that Midtjylland, led by the charismatic CEO Claus Steinlein, has accepted an offer from Brentford FC.

The London club is a newcomer to the Premier League and has Pontus Jansson as team captain, Saman Ghoddos in the team, Danish Thomas Frank as coach and eight other Danish and Icelandic players in the squad.

But above all, Midtjylland and Brentford have the same owners in Matthew Benham, who have made a fortune earlier in the finance and betting industry.

It is not clear what amount for the star Swede the two clubs have agreed on. According to media reports, Midtjylland recently sold Frank Onyeka to Brentford for almost SEK 100 million.

Personal agreement not clear

When Midtjylland recently advanced to the qualifiers for the Champions League after beating Celtic, Claus Steinlein told Danish TV3 +:

– The situation is similar to two years ago when Tim Sparv and Jakob Poulsen, who were then very good in our midfield, were replaced by Jens-Lys Cajuste and Frank Onyeka – who we will now sell for about 200 million kroner (Danish, equivalent to 274 million svenska, red anm).

In that case, it would mean that Brentford is ready to pay significantly more for Cajuste than the SEK 120 million that Rennes has offered.

It remains to be seen whether Jens Cajuste can agree with Brentford if the personal parts of an agreement and a move from Denmark are lost.

The European Swede has not been in Midtjylland’s qualifying matches for the Champions League or in the initial three Danish league rounds.
