Jefri was kidnapped and tortured to death because of online game gambling debt of Rp. 766 million.

KOMPAs.com – Because of gambling debt game online IDR 766 million, Jefri Wijaya alias Asion (39), a resident of Sunggal, was kidnapped and tortured to death.

Jefri’s body was dumped in a ravine on Jalan Field-Brastagi, District Tanah Karo residents found on Friday (18/9/2020) morning.

There are six civilians involved murder the. There is a strong suspicion that the case involved an unscrupulous official.

This case started with a debt of a person named Dani to suspect Edy Siswanto amounting to Rp. 677 million. The debt is from online gaming.

At that time, Jefri’s victim gave guarantees to settle the debt.

As time went on, it turned out that Jefri had never settled the debt. Edy then asked the suspect Hendi to look for Jefri.

Hendi, assisted by other suspects, also looked for a way out to find Jefri. At that time, Hendi promised Rp. 15 million so that the other suspects were willing to help him.

They then lured Jefri with a car buying and selling transaction because previously on social media, the victim planned to sell his car.

One of the suspects managed to get Jefri out for a transaction. The first transaction failed because the location was crowded.

Monday (14/9/2020), victim Jefri contacted one of the suspects and asked to meet him at one of the locations for car buying and selling transactions.
