On the evening of Sunday, November 8, a few hours before the start of the emergency, Digital Art House in Riga performed famous opera arias and jazz compositions and was destined to implement the international music and digital art project “When Jazz Meets Opera”.

Jazz singer Diāna Pīrāgs, Italian opera singer Mikele Troy, Latvian National Opera artist Marianne Nobre from Brazil and string quartet “Alma” took the stage.

The two-part concert program combines the operas of popular operas by Giuseppe Verdi and Giacomo Puccini with lyrical romances and jazz interpretations by Andrea Bocelli from the compositions of George Gershwin, Edith Piaff, Jung Elington, and Consuel Velasquez.

For the founder of Digital Art House, Roman Morozov, this was his first experience in organizing such a concert. He said: “Already this [džeza un operas] the connection seems unusual to many, and we supplemented it with visualizations of our exhibition digital technology. We will immerse those present in the diversity of art. ”

The idea of an opera and jazz concert program was cherished for two years by jazz singer Diāna Pīrāgs, whose idea “Digital Art House” was supplemented with a bright visual costume of art history.

“We hope to come back with even more songs, with new artists, because this project is not for one concert,” Diāna Pīrāgs emphasized.

There was a positive feeling of satisfaction in the auditorium, and popular compositions and moving works of art all around gave a pleasant Sunday rest, knowing that concerts would be banned immediately.

According to the visitor of the concert Valdis, attending cultural events does not scare him.

Marina, the concert attendee, remarked: “Music and painting, new technologies really met here. That is what will be in the future. I listened with satisfaction and thought I needed to repeat it. ”
