Lhe Rugbyrama site indicates on Tuesday that the second-row South African Janse Roux, at the end of the contract with the SA XV, should play next season in Colomiers, current 6e of Pro D2. Information not denied by the president of Soyaux-Angoulême Didier Pitcho.
Janse Roux (25), arrived in Charente in the summer of 2019 from Bourgoin. After playing 14 matches in his first season, he had a white season due to knee surgery. A major architect of Nationale’s rise to Pro D2 in the spring of 2022, he has played 13 Pro D2 matches since the start of the current financial year.
Absent from the field since the trip to Béziers in early February due to chest pain, he is applying to rejoin the group on Friday at Chanzy against Grenoble, as SA XV manager Vincent Etcheto said this week at a press conference.
He should commit to two seasons at Colomiers where former Angoumoisins Anthony Coletta and Aldric Lescure are already playing.
