Jankto Returns to Italy After Two Years
Prague Slavia’s graduate, Jakub Jankto, is returning to Italy after two years. The midfielder moved to Udine in 2014. He initially went on loan to second division club Ascoli, and after two seasons with Udine, he was loaned to Sampdoria in Genoa, where he later transferred for 15 million euros. Last year, he moved to Getafe.
Jankto played under coach Claudio Ranieri at Sampdoria, and now they will reunite at Cagliari. The former Chelsea, Juventus, and Inter Milan coach led the team to fifth place in the second division and secured promotion through the playoffs.
So far, Jankto has played 155 matches in Serie A, scoring 17 goals and providing 17 assists.
