KOMPAS.com – The Jambi City Government withdrew the police report against a junior high school student, Syarifah Fadiyah Alkaff.
As is known, Fadiyah was reported after her video criticism of the Mayor of Jambi, Syarif Fasha, was judged to contain a number of sentences that were considered insulting to the Jambi City Government.
The Head of the Jambi City Government Legal Unit, Gempa Awaljon said, there were three reasons for the report being withdrawn.

First, because Fadiyah already apologized. Second, Fadiyah is still in junior high school. The third reason, said Gempa, is because of conscience.
Gempa said that from the start they had no intention of taking this case to court, only an apology from Fadiyah.
“That’s why after there was a video apology on June 4, on June 5 we withdrew the report,” he said, Tuesday (6/6/2023).
Gempa said the video on Fadiyah’s TikTok account was made on May 3, 2023, then on May 4, the municipal government made a report to the police.
After an investigation, it was discovered that the uploader of the video was still in junior high school.
“If we had known from the start, we would not have wasted energy on this,” he said.
Previously it was reported, the Jambi City Government reported a junior high school student from Jambi, Syarifah Fadiyah Alkaff, to the police after criticizing the Jambi City Government.
The report started with a number of videos uploaded on Fadiyah’s Instagram and TikTok accounts, @fadiyahalkaff.
From several of her videos, this junior high school student is protesting the activities of a company that has damaged her grandmother’s house.
Fadiyah made a number of videos criticizing Jambi Mayor Syarif Fasha and a company for allegedly violating Regional Regulation No. 4 of 2017 concerning Road Transportation.
Fadiyah then uploaded another video entitled “Clarification of Letters from the Kingdom of the Pharaoh Jambi City Government”.
In this video, Fadiyah answers a number of clarifications that were previously conveyed by the Jambi City Government.
In the video, Fadiyah can be heard saying the phrase “the Jambi municipal government contains all demons”.
The Jambi City Government then reported Fadiyah to the police through M Gempa Alwajon, Head of the Legal Section of the Jambi City Government.
Gempa said, in a report dated May 4 2023, the Jambi City Government reported the TikTok account @fadiyahalkaff because the video he made did not contain criticism, but contained SARA content and attacked Jambi City Government institutions.
The video that was reported contained the sentence content, “Letters from the Pharaoh Kingdom of the Jambi City Government” and “Jambi City Government Contains All Devils”.
