Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Have you ever heard of hemophilia and its effects on blood fluidity?
According to the official report from the Dubai Health Authority, hemophilia, also known as “hemophilia”, is a genetic disease (more often than not).
This rare disease affects the fluidity of the blood and is caused by a deficiency in one of the clotting factors, whereby the affected person’s blood does not clot normally, making them vulnerable to bleeding.
Here are the places of bleeding when suffering from hemophilia:
- muscle
- the nose
- the brain
- teeth
- joints
- genitals
Due to this condition, patients are advised to exercise and maintain a normal weight to protect and strengthen the joints, avoiding violent sports.
They should also avoid taking certain medications that can exacerbate bleeding or prevent blood clots, as well as receiving recommended vaccinations, especially hepatitis A and B vaccination.
Here are some of the symptoms of hemophilia, according to the official website ofFor the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Control (CDC):
- Joint bleeding. This can cause swelling, pain, or tightness in the joints.
- Bleeding into the skin (i.e. bruising), muscles and soft tissues, causing blood to accumulate in the area
- Mouth, gums and bleeding that are difficult to stop after losing a tooth
- Bleeding after circumcision
- Bleeding after injections, such as vaccinations
- Bleeding in the baby’s head after a difficult birth
- blood in the urine or stool
- Frequent nosebleeds difficult to stop
