These are the figures for the last 24 hours regarding the situation caused by Covid-19 in Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom.
Italy
Italian civil protection revealed today, referring to the last 24 hours, the record of 32,961 new cases of Covid-19, of which 623 people died, the latter number corresponding to an increase compared to Tuesday.
The country thus surpasses the milestone of one million cases, accounting for 1,028,424 infected individuals. In addition, the 40,000 deaths caused by Covid-19 have been exceeded since the beginning of the pandemic (at this time it has 42,953 fatalities).
Records also indicate that a further 9,090 people recovered, bringing the total to 372,113. The number of active cases is 613,358. In Italy there are 29,444 people hospitalized, including 3,081 patients in the intensive care units.

In addition, 349 people with a confirmed diagnosis of Covid-19 died in Spain on the last day. The records indicate 40,105 deaths, victims of Covid-19, since the virus arrived in the country, according to data from the Ministry.
The Madrid community reported twice as many new infections a few hours ago, from 1,217 on Tuesday to 2,271 on Wednesday, and is currently the region most affected by the country’s public health crisis.
United Kingdom
The UK has recorded 22,950 new infections and 595 deaths from covid-19 in the past 24 hours, a new high for this second wave, making the official record exceed 50,000 deaths, the British Ministry of Health announced today.
The cumulative total since the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic in the UK is now 1,256,725 confirmed infections and 50,365 deaths recorded within 28 days after the victims received a positive test.
