ABU DHABI, 21st June, 2020 – His Excellency Antonio Tajani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy, has expressed his country’s full support for the UAE’s presidency of the Conference of the Parties “COP28”. In an interview with the Emirates News Agency (WAM), Tajani emphasized the depth of friendship between Italy and the United Arab Emirates and highlighted the importance of dealing with climate change issues in a practical way.

Tajani mentioned that his return to Abu Dhabi was only three months after his previous visit, which took place as part of the delegation accompanying the Prime Minister of Georgia. This visit aims to emphasize the depth of friendship between the two countries and express Italy’s keenness to strengthen bilateral relations with the UAE in various sectors.

During his visit, Tajani had a positive meeting with His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
