On Tuesday evening, the Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner beat the Russian Roman Safiullin in four sets (6-2, 3-6, 6-2, 6-2) in the quarterfinals of Wimbledon, thus qualifying for the semifinals of the tournament. Sinner, one of the strongest tennis players in business and considered one of the most talented of his generation, will meet the winner of the match between Andrey Rublev and Novak Djokovic, currently underway. At 21, he is the third Italian to qualify for the semifinals of the English tournament after Nicola Pietrangeli in 1960 and Matteo Berrettini in 2021. For Sinner it will also be the first semifinal in a Grand Slam tournament.
