In an interview with Betfair, former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov interfered in the Lionel Messi case. While the future of Pulga keeps Barça in suspense, the former Bulgarian glory reckons Manchester City would be the perfect destination for La Pulga in the event of a transfer.
Lionel Messi would have his slap. Very marked by the defeat against Bayern in the quarter-finals of the Champions League and rather cold with his direction, the Barcelona genius would like to slam the door. He would have taken advantage of a meeting with his new coach to reaffirm his position. For his part, Berbatov would advise Manchester City as part of a departure even if the former Red Devil does not see him leave the club.
“City would be the perfect place for Messi if he had to leave Barcelona. I do not see Messi leaving, but if he had to do so, I see few clubs capable of welcoming him ”, a souligné Berbatov.
Note, however, that FC Barcelona still has a hand in this matter but is faced with a major dilemma. It remains to be seen if new coach Koeman can find the right words to convince the six-fold Golden Ball to stay.
