The players of Bayern Munich stepped up to defend the German title with a great victory 6:1 on the field of Eintracht Frankfurt. The champions from the past ten years scored five goals against this year’s Europa League winners in the opening act. Nineteen-year-old midfielder Jamal Musiala scored two goals.
Bayern put Kimmich in the lead in the fifth minute with a clever free kick, and soon Pavard added to the lead. In the 29th minute, Mané, the Bavarian club’s biggest summer signing, made use of Gnabry’s center with a “fish”. The former Liverpool gunner already scored in the battle for the German Super Cup with Leipzig and after ten years he imitated the performance of Mario Mandzukic, who was the last to score in the first two competitive matches for Bayern.
In the 35th minute, Musiala had easy work in front of an open goal after the offer of the author of two assists by Müller, and Gnabry closed the crushing half with a goal. After the change of sides, Kolo Muani brought down, but again Musiala had the last word.
Frankfurt thus did not confirm that it was Bayern’s least favorite league opponent in the last three seasons. Before today’s match, Eintracht managed to win three out of six duels, but today they lost at home for the second time in a row.
