The group turned to their fans to vote whether to agree to the proposal of the organizers of the national selection.
The Kalush Orchestra will be offered to go to a music competition Eurovision 2022 from Ukraine. This is stated in statement organizers of the national selection, which was published on February 17.-
It is noted that at an extraordinary meeting of the organizing committee of the National selection for participation in Eurovision 2022 it was decided to apply to the Kalush Orchestra group with a proposal to represent Ukraine at the competition in Turin.
“It is important for the broadcaster to maintain the trust of the viewers in the song contest, therefore Public invites the group that took second place in the final and received the most support from the audience to represent Ukraine at Eurovision 2022guided by the principle of observing the rating table of the finalists of the National Selection,” the organizers emphasized.
Note that the Kalush Orchestra on Instagram Stories turned to their fans with a request to vote on whether they agree to go to the competition.
“When Public invite us to go Eurovisionwhat to answer? Tell! Let’s go?” the message said.

Later Public stated that even before the official refusal of the singer, the organizing committee of the National Selection decided to terminate her participation.
