“It no longer concerns us”… Joseph Abu Fadel: Abu Fahd arrived, Abu Fahd left?

The political analyst and writer, lawyer Joseph Abu Fadel, commented in a post on his account on the “X” platform, on a video showing “the convoy of Representative Gebran Bassil being thrown with eggs and tomatoes in Tripoli… and his companions attacking protesters,” writing: “This news and other news on His likeness no longer concerns us, nor does it concern any of the honorable Lebanese men and women. Whether they throw at him or not, that is their business and his alone.”

He added, “Lebanon, with its mountains, Beirut, its south, the Bekaa, and its north, is looking forward to someone who will save it from the politics of boats, girls, and young girls (especially) from the alleys of Tripoli! These words are not against anyone, but for everyone, without exception.”

Abu Fadel continued, “It is incumbent on you, those who made the decision, to elect a president of the Lebanese Republic who is the son of a distinguished family, after the years of trouble that you witnessed with the naked eye, up close, and with regular or electronic binoculars, and that His Excellency the future president should be the son of a family that believes in Lebanon, its constitution, and its surroundings, and that His Excellency should not be the son of Karfoukha.” – A disloyalty and a liar!

He continued, “And that you do not evaporate, as party officials and in the Lebanese state alike, and lose sight, hearing, and touch when the plane of the Qatari envoy, Abu Fahd, lands, so you turn off your phones, offices, and businesses, and open your homes, mouths, and pockets. The patience of the Lebanese people who suffer from ancient hunger and chronic hunger has been exhausted.” “The giants who have become wealthy at the expense of institutions, citizens, and taxpayers, and are not satisfied and will never be satisfied with eating dry food before green food.”

Abu Fadel concluded, “I am certain that they will not like these words, but it is not reasonable and acceptable for us to witness the fatal mistakes against the Lebanese Republic and its institutions and to remain silent in the service of those who claim to be concerned for Lebanon! And for us to keep hearing you repeat: “Abu Fahd arrived, Abu Fahd left?” He said. “Abu Fahd,” he said, “pour.” Abu Fahd, “pour.”
