Noa Kirel releases a new song, for the first time since last summer: “Girls like me don’t cry”. The song was released today (Wednesday) morning. “Girls like me don’t cry” was produced and adapted by Yanon Yahel, who wrote and composed it alongside Noa Kirel, Ron Beaton and Mai Safdia.
Unlike her previous single, Deja Vu, “Girls Like Me Don’t Cry” is not a rhythmic party song but an emotional ballad with an electronic beat, slightly reminiscent of Cyril’s “If You’re a Man.” Although Kirel is currently in a happy relationship with Bayern Munich goalkeeper Daniel Peretz, the song is about heartbreak: “You’re trying to perceive me as bad, that’s the only way it’s good, you have no choice, you wanted to see if I’m broken,” Noa Kirel sings in the song.
Earlier this week, Cyril revealed the cover of the single, and it was impossible to ignore the resemblance to the cover of Shakira’s last album, Las Mujeres ya no lloran. In both of them you can see the stars shedding a silver tear, and the names are also almost the same – the name of Shakira’s album means “women don’t cry anymore”. In response to mako’s request, sources in the star’s environment stated: “Noa’s tear is more impressive.”
