U.S. First Lady Melania Trump revealed a few months ago that she would remodel the White House garden, known as Jardim das Rosas, during the pandemic.
This Saturday, Melania Trump, decided to reveal the result and announced: “I am excited to pay homage to history and celebrate the future in our beautiful Rose Garden tonight. Thank you to everyone who helped to renovate this iconic and truly beautiful space.”
The images of the result were shared on Twitter by Donald Trump’s wife and, instead of praise, Melania received a shower of negative comments.
The flowers, some of which were planted by Jackie Kennedy in the 1960s, and iconic cherry trees that used to adorn the garden have been replaced by cement and shrubs.
Melania’s efforts are now being mocked on social media where she likens the renovated garden to a cemetery and the first lady to a “depressing witch”.

If @FLOTUS was shooting for a Cemetery look in the Rose Garden, she nailed it. #RoseGardenMassacre pic.twitter.com/DNkPIMxYRH

Who looks at all of this beauty and decides to murder it? Melania Trump is a depressing witch. pic.twitter.com/KW7NQ5lcxK
