TEL AVIV, iNews.id – Defense Forces Israel (IDF) is known to have created an attack scenario to Iran related to the program nuclear the country. There are several scenarios prepared, but Israel cannot say for sure whether the attack will have an impact on Iran’s nuclear program or not.
The Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported that the IDF was allocated 9 billion shekels, or around Rp. 41 trillion, to prepare for the attack. The funds were used to purchase new sophisticated weaponry, conduct air force exercises, and conduct mapping to determine attack targets.
According to the Haaretz report, a military official told the government the IDF was ready to attack Iran as soon as it got approval.
But the IDF is also studying the impact of attacks on security in the region. The attack on Iran is feared to trigger retaliation from pro-Iran groups, including the outbreak of fighting with Lebanon’s Hezbollah or with Palestinian struggle groups in the Gaza Strip such as Islamic Jihad and Hamas.
In addition the IDF noted Iran has expanded its air defense system in recent years which would complicate air strikes. Not only that, Iran has also increased weapons missile distance significantly. Iranian missiles can reach targets throughout Israel with ease.
