It is already being tested directly on Wenceslas Square

The management of Prague, which has found a non-residential space for the new location, is concerned about a possible second wave of coronavirus. According to the mayor’s deputy Petr Hlubuček (STAN), who himself suffered from the disease, sampling points are planned in five parts of Prague. “It is a natural reaction to the increase in cases,” Sviták told Práva.

According to Hlubuček, it is about prevention. “We want to avoid a situation in which we would be forced to introduce comprehensive measures with a societal impact,” he said.

They pay extra for speed

Sviták did not rule out that their laboratories could spread around Prague. “If the municipality or any part of the city has a request, we will try to comply,” he said. The company is already testing at the airport and examining the samples in its laboratory.
Paramedics in protective suits will take turns in Wenceslas Square in five-hour shifts, and there will be four. “We can test a few hundred cases a day,” Sviták said.

He pays 1750 crowns for self-paying nasopharyngeal swabs (PCR test). The same quick test with results within two hours costs 7500 crowns. The test for antibodies against covid-19 will cost 700 crowns. The so-called The duo test, ie both swabs and antibodies, costs 2,300. For families who are going on holiday, the company offers packages of 3,000 crowns per adult, it is a matter of repeating the tests.

As soon as the pick-up point raised the blind on Friday, Praguers and tourists were already interested.
In the metropolis, ten hospitals and private laboratories are now taking samples for coronavirus tests. In most places, patients are tested as indicated by the hygiene station and self-payers.

Prague does not rule out the introduction of the obligation to wear a veil in all means of public transport, so far it is necessary to have it in the metro.

According to Prague’s chief hygienist Zdenka Jágrová, wearing veils in buses and trams will probably be ordered in September, mainly according to climatic conditions and the spread of the disease.
