On Tuesday evening, the far-right Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, called on Defense Minister Yoav Galant to declare war on Lebanon.

Addressing his speech to the Minister of Defense, Ben Gvir said, via the “X” platform: “Gallant, the army is your responsibility. What are you waiting for? (More than 100 missiles were launched) at the State of Israel and you are sitting quietly?”

He added: “Let us begin the response, attack and war now.”

Earlier, Israeli Army Radio reported that 100 missiles were monitored from Lebanon at Israel on Tuesday morning.

Meanwhile, the army announced that warplanes bombed, on Tuesday, two Hezbollah headquarters deep in Lebanon, a military building in the Khiam area, and an “enemy structure” in the Bint Jbeil area (south).

The official Lebanese News Agency also reported that one person was killed and 8 wounded in a raid launched by Israeli warplanes, on Tuesday, on a residential building in the “Dahr al-Ayroun” locality on the Baalbek-Riyaq International Road (east).

Baalbek in the Bekaa Governorate is considered an area of influence for Hezbollah, and is about 100 km away from the area of the usual border confrontations between Lebanon and Israel.

Recently, Israeli officials have escalated in their threats to expand attacks on Lebanese territory, unless Hezbollah fighters withdraw away from the border with northern Israel.
