Of the 83 identified persons who have returned to Sweden from territories once controlled by the Islamic State, 21 are now working with children, youth and vulnerable persons, according to an investigation by the newspaper Expressen.
Despite the warnings of the security authorities, a total of 24 terrorists found jobs in public institutions.
Among them are also persons who directly participated in the crimes of the “Islamic State”.
“It is completely unacceptable that people who are terrorists of the “Islamic State” work in Swedish schools, sports centers and similar places. This should not have been allowed,” admitted Edholma, who represents the Liberal Party.
She added that Swedish society was too naive.
In several cases, the Islamist terrorists were recruited shortly after returning from Syria, where in some cases they spent several years in the territories controlled by the “Islamic State”.
