Former champions Bangalore FC beat Odisha in Indian Super League Bangalore won by two goals to one. Steven Taylor led Odisha against Bengaluru, who took the lead through Chhetri. However, it was the Brazilian Clayton Silva who found the back of the net for Bengaluru.

Bangalore, who had been attacking from the first minute of the match, continued to create opportunities. But in the eighth minute, Odisha’s one goal shocked Bengaluru. The scoreboard remained 0-0 after the referee called offside.

In the 30th minute, four Bengaluru players got a chance inside the Odisha box but no one was able to get the ball into the net. Bengaluru’s Eric Parthalu was shown a yellow card for fouling Mauricio. The first goal of the match was scored in the 38th minute. Chhetri received a header from Khabra’s huge pass into the air and the ball bounced off Odisha’s header.

Chhetri also scored his 50th goal in the ISL with his header. Chhetri is the first Indian to achieve this feat. Steven Taylor stunned Bangalore in the second half with the confidence of the lead in the first half. After the draw, the Odisha batsmen got excited again, but the Bengaluru defense and goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh were held back.

Clayton struck back in the eighth minute to put Bangalore ahead again in the 79th minute. Even after this, Bengaluru, which was attacking, created many opportunities.
