The Iserlohn Roosters have regained the lead in the group north of the German Ice Hockey League (DEL).
At the Grizzlys Wolfsburg, coach Jason O’Leary’s team won 2: 1 (1: 1, 0: 0, 0: 0, 1: 0) after extra time and passed the Fischtown Pinguins Bremerhaven. On Thursday, they defeated Krefeld Pinguine 6: 2 (2: 1, 3: 0, 1: 1).
Brody Sutter put Iserlohn in the lead after 33 seconds, which Phil Hungerecker equalized in the first quarter (14th). Ryan Johnston then made the decision in extra time (63.).
In the south group, the Augsburg Panthers prevailed against ERC Ingolstadt 6: 3 (1: 2, 3: 1, 2: 0). Brandon Defazio (6th) and Tim Wohlgemuth (9th) gave the guests the lead.
Braden Lamb (13th, 38th), John Rogl (28th), Michael Clarke (33rd), Scott Valentine (43rd) and Jaroslav Hafenrichter (58th) turned the match. Mirko Höfflin’s hit (39th) was only enough for the ERC to catch up in the meantime.
