Last year, the German company Emilia Auto announced that it was preparing the GT Veloce project, which is a kind of modern interpretation of the classic Alfa Romeo Giulia GT from the 1960s and 1970s.

Now the company reports a significant shift, as it has completed work on the design. And we have to say that her appearance was extremely successful, for us it is one of the most handsome restomod we have seen lately. Maybe even the prettiest.
Every car should be created from the original coupe, but it will not be an easy process. Basically, only the body will be taken from the original, but it will be significantly modified. Emilia, for example, gets a different front hood or wider fenders. Some details were then designed with regard to functionality, especially the optimal cooling of the engine and brakes. Surely you have noticed the modern LED headlights.

The modified body comes with a custom space frame that also complements the modern powertrain and lots of new technology.
We have known since last year that the German company has chosen a 2.9-liter supercharged six-cylinder turbocharger known from the current Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrofoglio. It will be connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission from ZF, which will of course drive the rear wheels. The manufacturer counts on an output of over 500 hp and a torque exceeding 600 Nm. And by the way, due to the new intercoolers, the restomod has a longer bow compared to the original, and is 40 millimeters longer overall.
The chassis gets independent wheel suspension and uses parts from KW. A trapezoidal axle appears at the front and a multi-element at the rear. Brembo will supply the brakes, there will be power steering, ABS and traction control.
Emilia Auto is also preparing a specific interior. Unfortunately, we do not yet know exactly what it will look like, we only have older pictures from last year, but we assume that it will offer a combination of the original cabin and modern elements. The company also promises an infotainment system with an 8.8-inch screen, air conditioning and a rear parking camera.
And finally, one good and one bad news. Let’s start with the unusual one: although the manufacturer has already received several orders, it still has free production windows. So the car is still available.
A bit worse news is the fact that the restomod will cost 400 thousand euros, which is about 9.9 million crowns … On the other hand, for this money you get the opportunity to tune the machine to your own taste, Emilia Auto offers in addition to the mandatory choice of body color choice of color design of carpets, steering wheel or ceiling, or selection of materials on the dashboard and audio system.
