In the spring it became known that AvtoVAZ company gained access to the CMF-B platform. This architecture is aimed at creating mostly compact cars. But its design, with some modifications, allows for the production of larger crossovers. In turn, such cars are very much needed by the Russian market, as many foreign brands have left our country. That is, a full-fledged 7-seater crossover may soon appear in the Lada lineup.
The domestic designer has announced the release of renderings that will reveal what such a car looks like. He presented several images of the 7-seater Lada crossover, showing that the novelty will have a relief body. This combination indirectly indicates that this model could become a competitor Nissan Pathfinder. In favor of the assumption made, it is also said that the future novelty will most likely receive plug-in all-wheel drive. It is impossible to produce a 7-seater crossover without it, since it will not be in demand.
Despite the previous statement, the novelty from Lada will be relatively inexpensive cars. Given the current pricing policy, about 2-2.4 million rubles will be asked for a 7-seater AvtoVAZ crossover. At the same time, technically and in terms of equipment, the presented novelty will be an almost complete copy last Vesta. Such a unification of the model range will help AvtoVAZ avoid a sharp increase in prices for a 7-seater crossover. However, unlike Vesta, all versions of the model presented will use a 1.8-litre engine. The initial 1.6 liter engine will not provide enough power for such a large car.
