The prices of building materials on Sunday 9/13-2020 witness stability in the local markets, according to what was confirmed by the Building Materials Division of the Chamber of Commerce in Cairo.
The Building Materials Division stressed the increase in supply of all commodities with the decrease in demand, which led to price stability.
Ahmed Al-Zaini, head of the Building Materials Division at the Chamber of Commerce in Cairo, said that steel prices were recorded at 9100-9500 pounds per ton for handing over the factory land, and the price to the consumer is 9400-9500 pounds.
He confirmed that cement prices recorded 650-680 pounds at factory delivery, while the consumer price reached 700-750 pounds per ton, and that gypsum prices were 550-650 pounds per ton, sand between 60-100 pounds, and bricks between 750-950 pounds per thousand bricks.
