Apple’s new “cheap iPhone” should come in two different sizes. So far, only a 4.7-inch screen was mentioned in connection with the iPhone 9. Apple is also planning an iPhone 9 Plus with a 5.5-inch screen.
The US website 9to5Mac claims to have found relevant information in the source code of an early pre-release version of iOS 14. The software was already in the past week Source for all kinds of predictions.
The phone, commonly referred to as the “iPhone SE successor”, is expected to go on sale in early April and replace the iPhone 8 currently still available from Apple. The then two new models are said to be equipped with Apple’s A13 chip and thus use the same processor as the currently most powerful iPhone models iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro. In particular, the lack of facial recognition in favor of the old Touch ID button and a simple LCD screen should allow Apple to offer the device at a very attractive price.
