Reportedly, Apple is now working on a Type-C charging interface for the iPhone 15 lineup and may require users to use MFI-certified Type-C cables. This means that the usual Type-C cables for charging Android phones may not work.

After asking for years, Apple might finally offer a Type-C port for charging, but at what cost?

The Type-C port isn’t the only thing Apple is bringing with its new iPhones. This year’s iPhone 15 series is expected to come with a new chipset, most likely the Apple A17 Bionic. The top-of-the-line model is said to feature a periscope lens.

Moreover, the iPhone 15 Pro models will come with solid titanium buttons. The dynamic island will be retained on the new Pro models.

Apart from this, the iPhone 15 is expected to have a 6.1-inch screen, while the iPhone 15 Plus has a 6.7-inch screen. The high-end models, the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, will have 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch displays, respectively.

In related news, Mark Gurman revealed that Apple may finally bring the premium “Ultra” iPhone next year. The iPhone Ultra or iPhone 16 Ultra, whatever Apple plans to call it, is said to have better cameras, a larger screen, and possibly a portless design.
