iPhone 15 Alarm Issue: How to Fix Attention Aware Feature Interfering with Alarms on iOS 17

Users of the new “iPhone 15” complained about the phone’s alarm feature, as they said that it was not working properly, and the reason may be due to an unknown feature in the iOS 17 operating system that interferes with the clock application alerts.

A report by the British newspaper Daily Mail stated that iPhone owners reported that despite setting the alarm several times at an interval of between two and five minutes, the alarm did not work in any of them.

One person wrote on Reddit: “My alarm only went off at 6:45 a.m., and I woke up to find that all previous alarm times remained set but failed to sound.”

The user asked: “Has anyone else had problems with their alarms failing to go off in the morning like this?”

All users who encountered the problem say that they did not involuntarily close any of their alarms in the morning.

A Reddit user shared a screenshot of his alarm app and said that only the alarm activated at 6:48 goes off in the morning, despite many alarms being set and activated before this time.

One user assumed that the problem was due to an unknown setting called Attention Aware.

This feature in iOS 17 allows the phone to detect the time when the user pays attention to it, so the phone thinks that the user is awake at this time and there is no need to turn on the alarm.

Although this problem may be frustrating, it is very easy to solve.

To make sure alarms are turned on, all you have to do is turn off “Attention Features” in your iPhone settings through the “Face ID & Attention” option as well as voice control in the Accessibility settings.

Once this feature is deactivated, the phone will not believe that the user is awake in the morning and will silence any other alarms.

If this method does not work, some users suggested turning off standby mode on the latest iPhones.

To deactivate standby mode, go to Settings and to the StandBy menu, where you can simply turn off the feature, and ensure that alarms are activated at the specified time.
