Los Angeles Police Department is investigating Hollywood actor Armie Hammer. A woman accuses him of raping her for four hours and throwing her head against a wall several times. Hammers lawyer calls the allegations ridiculous.
The now 24-year-old woman, who calls herself Effie, is said to have been in a relationship with Hammer (34) between 2016 and 2020. Hammer was then married to entrepreneur and TV personality Elizabeth Chambers. The couple divorced last year.
Effie says the sexual abuse took place on April 24, 2017 in Los Angeles. “In those four hours I tried to get away, but he prevented it,” she said at a press conference. “I thought he was going to kill me. But then he left without bothering about me.” Her lawyer says she gave police photos of the injuries.
Armie Hammer broke through in the Facebook movie in 2010 The Social Network, in which he played the Winklevoss twins. He also had important roles in it The Lone Ranger (2013) in Call Me By Your Name (2017).
His attorney says the alleged victim is an attention seeker and that “her own messages to Mr. Hammer undermine and contradict her ridiculous accusations.”
