Lithuanian police initially dropped the investigation into the abuse allegations against Rammstein vocalist Till Lindemann, made on social media after a concert in Lithuania on 22 May.
Now the prosecution turns, which confirms opposite Welt that they are investigating allegations of defamation.
A so-called preliminary investigation was initiated in July, the newspaper is informed, after the police received a statement from the vocalist’s lawyer.
Claimed to have been drugged
The accusations against Lindemann started when Northern Ireland’s Shelby Lynn took to social media with allegations of having been drugged by the band members during a pre-party for the concert in question.
Furthermore, she claimed, she was taken into a small room where she was allowed to meet Lindemann, where he leaned on her, and she alleged that he became very angry when she did not want to sleep with him.

After several interrogations and investigations into the case, the Lithuanian prosecutor’s office concluded that there was no evidence to substantiate the claims. German police also investigated several of the allegations, but concluded in August in the same way.

When Rammstein played their first concert after the accusations became known, several hundred protesters gathered outside the arena in Berlin, under the slogan “No Rammstein in Berlin”.

Lindemann has denied the accusations against him throughout.

His lawyers believe that the depositions show that there was no basis for the accusations against the client.
