And a statement against Russian war criminals, among them Vladimir Putin and Dmitry Medvedev, Sergey Lavrov, was filed by two former German ministers. They are ex-Minister of the Interior of Germany Gerhard Baum and ex-Minister of Justice Sabine Leuthäuser-Schnarrenberger. They submitted their statement to the German Prosecutor General’s Office today in Berlin. There is a lawsuit against specific people – a total of 33 people. All members of the Russian Security Council, as well as commanders and units of the army.
The investigation itself, the German Prosecutor General’s Office began even earlier. However, this statement lists specific names. And this goes against the assertion that only Putin and the ruling elite are to blame for the war, since the German initiators demand an investigation not only against the authorities, but also against local commanders and specific soldiers. Among the crimes are the shelling of a maternity hospital and a drama theater in Mariupol, murders in Bucha, attacks and a television tower in Kyiv or the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
In order for the suspects to end up in the dock, they can be put on the wanted list through Interpol. And only Putin, Lavrov and Medvedev have immunity and they cannot be arrested on such a warrant.
“And therefore, our goal is to convey to the attackers as soon as possible that they all have to. Nothing will be forgotten, it will be investigated now, and this should be investigated, and the Germans should also investigate this, and the consequences should be visible for potential perpetrators in the future, ”explains Gerhard Baum.
By the way, the Germans themselves can already confirm that the killings of civilians in Bucha are not an accident and not excesses of individual malts, this is an intention and a system. This was stated today by German intelligence, referring to the intercepted conversations of the Russian military. There they talk about the atrocities as something ordinary.
